Interest subsidy for planting intensive orchards and vineyards

Run by: Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia

If you take a loan to plant a new intensive orchard, vineyard or berry plantation, the state pays most of the interest. The loan can cover drip irrigation, anti-hail nets, a water reservoir and first-year care.

Do I qualify?

Individuals, sole proprietors and companies planting at least 0.5 ha (per fruit type) and up to 500 ha. Home garden plots are not covered. You need a 3-year contract with an agronomist adviser and certified saplings.

What you get

The state pays 7 percentage points of the loan interest (3 for foreign-currency loans). Border communities, cooperatives and persons disabled in combat get 10 points (6 in FX); young farmers aged 18–35 and people aged 63+ get 8 points (4 in FX). Term 8 years, with a 5-year grace period on principal.

Deadline

  • Closes: 31 December 2026
  • The program runs 2021–2026. Apply before you start the works. There is no decision or draft yet on a 2027 continuation. Existing borrowers whose grace period ends by 31 July 2027 can get +1 year of term and +1 year of grace if they apply to their bank by 1 November 2026.
