Support for installing anti-hail nets

The state helps you put anti-hail nets over an existing orchard. For small orchards (0.5–3 ha) it pays 50% of the cost, or 75% in villages in the most hail-prone zones. For larger orchards you can take a loan with subsidised interest.

Do I qualify?

Individuals, sole proprietors and companies with a perennial plantation (orchard, vineyard, berries) of at least 0.5 ha. Trees no taller than 4 m. For leased land, the lease must run at least 7 years.

What you get

Option 1 (0.5–3 ha): the state pays the contractor 75% of the cost in villages of the most active hail zones (Table 18 of the program) or 50% elsewhere, capped at a cost of AMD 12.1 million per hectare. Option 2 (0.5–100 ha): the state pays 9 points of the loan interest (14 for border communities, cooperatives and combat-disabled persons; 10 for farmers aged 18–35 or 63+); term 7 years with up to 3 years' grace.

Deadline

  • Closes: 31 December 2026
  • The program runs 2021–2026. Apply before you start the works. There is no decision or draft yet on a 2027 continuation. Existing borrowers whose grace period ends by 31 July 2027 can get +1 year of term and +1 year of grace if they apply to their bank by 1 November 2026.

How to apply

  1. 1For the cost-sharing option: apply to the Ministry of Economy (electronically, on paper, or on benefits.mineconomy.am after identification on the «EsEm» (MyID) platform) before signing with a contractor.
  2. 2For the loan option: apply to a partner bank before the works start.
  3. 3After the works, submit the acceptance act and payment documents. You must keep using the net for at least 5 years.
