Buying pedigree heifers – 50% refund or 0% loan

Cattle development program 2025–2029. To buy pedigree pregnant heifers or 14–17-month-old females you choose: either the state refunds half the price, or you take a bank loan whose interest the state pays in full.
Do I qualify?
Sole proprietors, legal entities and communities without overdue loans or tax arrears. Up to 1,000 head per year.
What you get
Option 1: 50% of the price (based on max 1.1 mn AMD per head, i.e. up to 550,000 AMD per animal). Option 2: AMD loan up to 5 years; the state pays the interest (up to 14%), so it is 0% for you; up to 18 months grace.
Deadline
- Closes: 31 December 2029
- Runs 2025–2029 within the yearly budget.

How to apply
- 1Loan option: before buying, submit an application-request («dimum-hayt») to a participating bank or credit organisation. Buy the animals within 4 months after loan approval.
- 2Refund option: apply electronically to the Ministry of Economy before buying, then send documents within 10 working days after purchase.
